  Use
When an induced lightning surge caused by an electric discharge of thunder
occurs on a signal line, as an indoor setting arrester, this device absorbs
voltage of the induced lightning surge and protects connected equipment. |

operation by changing indication on the front from black to red. The indication
remains red after detection.

Outline
During use, when detecting indication of an induced lightning detection
arrester (type:UV-2) was made red by an approach of lightning surge, possible
degradation of arrester components is conceivable. This device examines
conditions of components in an arrester which detecting indication became
red, and resets the detecting indication to black if the arrester maintains
sufficient capabilities, in this way the arrester becomes reusable. |
